Will AfriMillions contact me in the future, after I've received my Prize?
Do you mind if we reach out to you in the future to hear about your experience and possibly feature you on our website or social media channels? We love hearing from our winners and sharing their stories! As part of the prize claim process, we may ask for your permission to contact you in the future.
I received an e-mail/ letter/ phone call from AfriMillions saying that I won a lottery prize. I can claim the prize if I send the necessary payment for the taxes and/ or service charges associated with the prize. Is this legitimate?
No, it is not legitimate. AfriMillions does not require winners to pay taxes or service charges upfront in order to claim a prize. Be cautious of any communication that requests payment or personal information, as it could be a scam. It is advisable to independently verify the authenticity of the communication by contacting our Customer Support team at help@afri-millions.com.
Will I be notified if I win?
If you purchase your lottery ticket through your Player Account, you can expect to be notified of any winnings via e-mail, SMS, or push notification. You can also check for the notification by clicking on the bell icon on the main page.
Why am I not receiving Winning Notifications?
If you are not receiving Winning Notifications, there could be a couple of reasons why. Firstly, it is possible that you thought you won but did not, so it is a good idea to double-check your bet details against the draw result.
Secondly, Winning Notifications will be sent to you via e-mail, SMS, or push notification, so make sure that you have enabled at least one of these options and that it is not going to your spam/ junk folder or being blocked by your settings.
Lastly, if you have disabled push notifications on your web browser, you might not receive the notification that way.
Is there a deadline for Winner Registration?
We kindly remind you to initiate your Winner Registration as soon as possible! You have 90 calendar days (including weekends and public holidays) from the Winning Notification to complete the process. Please don’t forget to take this important step, as we wouldn’t want you to miss out on your prize. If Winner Registration is not initiated within the timeframe, we may need to void the winning ticket.
How will my prize be paid?
If you win less than ₦50,000, your winnings will automatically be credited to your Player Account once the draw results are officially published. So, you don’t have to worry about anything.
For winnings equal to or more than ₦50,000, you will need to complete the Winner Registration process. Don’t worry, it is not complicated.
How could I view the winning ticket(s)?
To view your winning ticket(s), simply go to the “My Account” section on the main page and select “Recent Activity”. From there, you can click on the purchase you wish to view and see all the details. Winning tickets will have one of two statuses: “Paid” or “Payment Held”.
Do I have to pay tax on my winnings?
No need to worry about paying taxes on your winnings! We won’t deduct any taxes from your winnings regardless of the game you played. However, please note that you may be responsible for paying any applicable taxes to the relevant government if your bets were placed online outside of the jurisdiction of AfriMillions. AfriMillions recommends consulting a tax advisor about the specific tax implications of a particular prize to a prize winner.
Do I have to pay service fees on my winnings?
We are happy to let you know that no service fees will be charged on your winnings, regardless of the game. You will receive the full amount that you have won, without any deductions.
Can I remain anonymous as a winner?
We understand that privacy is important to many of our players, and we respect your wishes if you would like to remain anonymous. However, please note that in some cases, we may be required by law to disclose the identity of the winner. If you have any concerns about anonymity, please feel free to contact us at help@afri-millions.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Can I obtain my winnings if I am self-excluded?
We take responsible gaming seriously, and if you have self-excluded, you will not be able to cash out any winnings during the self-exclusion period. This is a measure we have in place to ensure that you are not encouraged to continue playing while you are taking a break from gaming.
Are my winnings guaranteed?
